Volunteer Opportunities

At St Sergius Aged Care, we are committed to supporting older people to live their best lives of their choice. As part of this commitment, we are proud to deliver the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), connecting older people with our team of volunteers to support genuine connection and friendships.

Our volunteers visit older people in the community and in residential aged care across South Western Sydney and can reminisce with you, have a cup of coffee, or play a board game – it is really up to you!

Community

Through the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), volunteers provide companionship and social connection to older people living in the community. Whether it is sharing a conversation, enjoying a coffee, going for a walk, or simply spending time together, volunteers help reduce loneliness and build meaningful friendships.

Residential Aged Care

Volunteers visit residents living in aged care and provide friendship, companionship, and social connection. Visits can include chatting, reading, playing games, participating in activities, or simply sharing time together.

Special Interests

We welcome volunteers with a range of skills, hobbies, and interests. Whether you enjoy music, arts and crafts, gardening, exercise, cultural activities, or simply connecting with people, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference.
