Residential care is for senior Australians who can no longer live in their own home. It includes accommodation and personal care 24 hours a day, as well as access to nursing and general health care services.
Providing residential care that is warm, compassionate, and supportive, St Sergius seeks to provide a homelike atmosphere for everyone living in our residential care facility. Our Registered Nurses are onsite twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and they are supported by a team of caring and qualified staff. Our aim is to provide the residential care Sydney locals can truly rely on.
Our facility has the capacity for 168 beds, and we are able to offer tailored care, including dementia care through our dedicated dementia ward, and palliative care that addresses both the physical symptoms and the emotional, spiritual and social needs of our residents.
Since starting out as the Russian Relief Association in 1945, we have striven to provide ethnic-specific care that honours traditions and practices. Our aged care services follow best practices to care for consumers in a culturally safe environment.
Our organised activities include bus trips, cooking, exercise programs, concerts and craft sessions. Through the creation of a familiar, homelike environment, we aim to provide the best possible care and quality of life within our residents’ cultural traditions and values.
Activity is encouraged, and privacy respected. We are well aware that the greatest asset of St Sergius is found in our caring staff, who undertake ongoing training to provide the best care possible. St Sergius is a community that includes the friends and family members of our consumers. We build all that we do upon the principles of benevolence and compassion.
