Yes. Workers will treat you with respect. Our workforce is trained to deliver care in keeping with the Aged Care Quality Standards and the Charter of Aged Care Rights. The Board and Management regular audit services, speak with residents and clients, assess complaints and feedback and provide close supervision of the workforce to ensure respectful service delivery is taking place.
St Sergius has a very high rate of workforce retention. We regularly assess and review residents’ and clients’ needs and rosters to ensure there are sufficient and skilled workers. We recruit workers through advertising, word of mouth and other means. If a worker is unwell or on leave, we have a causal pool of workers and agency agreements to supply workers, as well as procedures for registered nurses to follow if there are less workers on shift. We regular survey residents and workers about their satisfaction with staffing and despite COVID-19, current levels of satisfaction remain high.
