Skills, Qualifications and Experience Relevant to the Role:

• Don holds a Master of Arts (Psychology) and a PhD in Organisational Psychology. He has worked for NSW Prisons and Dept of Health as a Psychologist and also in private practice. He changed careers to become a Work Health & Safety Professional and over the past 25 years has held Senior Management positions as OHS Manager – NSW Police Force; Head of Medical Services – NSW Fire Brigades; Group Head of Safety (AU & NZ) for a large telco company and is currently employed as Head of HSE for a Sydney based Construction Company.
• He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety where he is actively involved in the mentoring of WHS professionals and leaders.
• He is also a Fellow of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (UK).
• He is an accredited Lead Auditor under ISO 9001: Quality Management Systems and recently completed a Diploma in Building and Construction (Project Management)
